Watercolor on fabric

(THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS - MORE PICTURES TO PUBLISH SOON)

Mediums: watercolor, silk organza, sumi ink

The fabric interacts with the watercolor in an interesting way, different from watercolor paper. These pieces utilize various colors ranging from very vibrant to subtle. The images incoperate various areas of transparency as well as few areas of opaqueness. Copious amount of water is applied with the watercolor onto the fabric to let the paint be itself. These moments are used to create an image that would resonate with the artist of a vastness similiar to the sea. The flow is an interest that the artists explores as well and the peaceful - ness as well as the beauty.

The artist is interested in using the natural effects of the paint when applied with copious of water.
